CRTV reinstalls transmitters after last week tragedy

The operation began Thursday in Douala. Technicians indicated that it will be completed "within 24 hours" but the international radio stations will have to wait.

They started the work on Thursday, October 2, 2014 for the delivery operation of radio transmitters and antennas of the regional station Crtv-Littoral, the urban channel, Suelaba Fm 105.

For this job about fifteen engineers, technicians and maintenance personnel were active on the scene. They will install antenna systems on 80 meters high mast and connect them via cables to the room of transmitters located not far from the tower.

The Camtel Company lent its facilities to Crtv on this occasion and this explains the presence of its Director general David Nkoto Emane on the site.

The relay of the national television in the Littoral and southwest regions are not affected by the emergency work. The international radio stations RFI, BBC and Africa No. 1 will restart later. According technicians, everything should be completed by Friday.
