From Thursday, the regional stations of the Cameroon radio television (Crtv) in the Western, the Littoral and the Centre regions have received new bosses. They are Jacob Nguini, Jeanne Tchakounté and Valéry Dikos Oumarou respectively. They replaced Samuel Nongowé, Serge Ngando Ntonè et Benoît Effa Essomba.

A worker at Crtv stationed in Yaoundé explained that the newly promoted were not part of an appointment document permitting them to replace the officials asked to go on retirement. The source noted that it was due to an "interim internal appointment" provided for by the regulations of the office de radio diffusion Télévision du Cameroon.

"This has nothing to do with appointments," announced partners of the written press. These newspapers among which is the bi-weekly Aurore Plus felt that the high hierarchy of Crtv led by Minister of communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, will not appreciate not being notified of the latest decisions of the DG causing another another tussle between State leaders appointed by Paul Biya.
