The German non-governmental organization Transparency International has released the world ranking of corrupt countries for 2014, also known by its English term "Corruption Perception Index 2014" on Thursday June 18, 2015. Cameroon occupies the 136th rank with a score of only 27 points out of 100.

In this classification there are Botswana, Cape Verde, Seychelles Islands, Mauritius as the least corrupt countries in Africa. Other countries such as Lesotho, Namibia, Rwanda, Ghana, South Africa, Senegal and Tunisia are ranked among the countries with the degree of corruption slightly above average.

The rest of the African countries are highly corrupt countries. Angola, Guinea -Bissau, Libya, South Sudan, Sudan and Somalia are close to the list of the most corrupt countries in Africa.

In Central Africa, the best place is Gabon (94th) with a score of 37/100. Cameroon is followed by the Central African Republic (150th), Congo Brazzaville (152nd), Chad (154th) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (154th).

The score is marked by 100 and the more a country has a score that moves away from 100, the more the country is corrupt.
