CCAA is not a private company - Mebe Ngo'o

The Minister of Transport, Mebe Ngo'o, has stated that the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) is not a private company.

According to Mebe to the new CCAA Director General, due to its status as a public administrative establishment, it is a dismemberment of the State placed under both technical and financial supervision on the one hand and the Ministry of Transport in charge of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Finance on the other hand.

"You are taking office at the time when the government is firmly committed to the promotion of an ambitious civil aviation program, with the priorities certification of international airports in Yaounde and Douala, rehabilitation of our secondary airports and recovery of our national airline Camair-co.

Your daily actions should seek to achieve these objectives that determine the proper conduct of female and male AFCONs in 2016 and 2019 respectively."

This institution is investing significant pre derogations from coercion in matters of control and safety and security of civil aviation, these prerogatives are exercisable at high government guidelines in a spirit of frank cooperation, seine and especially in the conditions that guarantee the strict respect for the authority of the State.

Also, Ms. Dg, the institution which you are now in charge is called to perform sensitive tasks as the case striking the seal of confidentiality, keep the secret of defense, including missions that take you to collaborate with the military authorities, I ask you to ensure that the highest officials, your employees, servants or assimilated force themselves to the indispensable duty of confidentiality regarding facts or information they may become aware in the exercise of their functions and even after the exercise of their function.
