CAMTEL prohibits the wearing of ‘Kaba’ at their office

Cameroon Telecommunications Company (Camtel), has prohibited the wearing of Kaba to their office in order to protect themselves from the horrors of terrorism.

The company responsible for managing the public telecommunications sector recently took measures to this effect.

In a release dated July 24, 2015, authorities asked its entire staff to comply with the new security requirements at the headquarters in Yaoundé. Now a systematic search of vehicles at the entrance and the exit of the premises are imposed on employees.

Similarly, staff courtesy visits have been canceled and the wearing of 'Kaba' and other clothing made from loin fabrics have been prohibited.

The release by the head of the special service in charge of Security added that in the perspective of better security measures which has just been taken, staff must "limit themselves to maximum displacement at the headquarter building".
