The Cameroon Coalition against Tobacco (C3T) chose to launch its National Advocacy which was announced few months ago, to enable the public authorities in the country to pass anti-smoking law, to limit the ravages of smoking on health.

Titled "a strong law to fight against smoking", the page calls the coalition published in the press, reveals that "each year, tobacco kills more than malaria, tuberculosis and HIV combined.

If in the opinion of other diseases appear to be at the forefront in terms of deaths, tobacco decimated, in silence, the greatest number of lives. Despite the disinformation campaigns and obstacles, Governments and parliaments must resist the tobacco industry, to pass laws that are overwhelmingly supported by the people, "we learn.

According to C3T the desired anti-smoking law should impose measures such as "protection against exposure to tobacco smoke; the prohibition of tobacco advertising , promotion and sponsorship; preventing youth access to tobacco products, the increase in tobacco prices through taxation to public health"

Many provisions, according to the coalition, should reduce the “worrying” figures of Tobacco in Cameroon, and make the country a territory "holier and more productive."
