The Cameroonian village of Manwadji in the District of Mora, (80 km from Maroua-Department) of Mayo-Sava, was a victim of an attack attributed to Boko Haram on Saturday night, according to sources.
The attack in the Northernmost Region left four people dead, several abducted and burnt houses.
In the provisional toll, the insurgents burnt part of the village and a dozen people remain untraceable. "They were reportedly taken to neighbouring Nigeria,” reported the high military rank.
For several weeks, Cameroon has witnessed an upsurge of attacks attributed to the Nigerian Islamist sect.
On August 18, two villages in the Makary District, border with Nigeria, were target of an attack attributed to the Nigerian sect.
These repeated attacks by terrorists caused fear within populations and eventual displacements. Official figures announced nearly 100,000 displaced Cameroonians, fleeing the exactions of Boko Haram.
