In the night of Friday, three shepherds were killed, their cattle taken away in the village of Warani, located near Fotokol, Department of Logone-et-Chari region of the Far North, "the attackers managed to commit their crimes and escaped," confirmed a soldier to KOACI by phone.

On September 16, nine people were slaughtered, two soldiers killed and a suspected member of Boko Haram killed in the village of Issa Harde, about ten kilometers from Mora, following an attack also attributed to Boko Haram.

According to a report revealed recently by Amnesty International, Boko Haram raids have left nearly 400 dead in Cameroon. In the same report, the NGO specializing in the defense of Human Rights found that "130 people had disappeared at the hands of the Cameroonian army."

This accusation was immediately refuted by the Cameroon Minister of Communication who said the report about the Cameroonian army involvement in the disappearance of 130 people lacked "objectivity".

This weekend, Paul Biya dispatched his Minister of Defence to the Chadian and Cameroonian troops engaged in the Joint Multinational Force (JMF) headed by the commander of the first sector, General Bouba Dobekréo, who took office since September 11. He was installed by Isah Iliyasu Abbah, Nigerian general and commander of the Joint Multinational Force.

The first sector command base in Mora in Cameroon, will have jurisdiction over the departments of Mayo Tsanaga, the Logone-et-Chari, Mayo-Sava, Chad and parts of Nigeria, said Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o, the Minister for the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Defence.
