Since the Claridge's in London, Samuel Eto'o has launched on Tuesday evening, the operation "Yellow Whistle Blower FC", aimed at raising funds to help the refugees and victims of abuses of the Islamist sect Boko Haram.
In a speech less than a minute, the Cameroonian football star invited the kind hearted to participate in this initiative for humanitarian purposes: "today in North Cameroon, people flee their villages because of the fighting and atrocities of Boko Haram," says the Cameroon international.
"Faced with this emergency, makeshift camps are put up for refugee men, women and children gathered in camps in dire need of water, food and medicine," he argued as justification for launching the fundraising campaign.
Before inviting people to join the initiative, he said: "the initiative collects funds for NGOs in the field helping the populations, join our teams, give! ".
Cameroon has currently over 42,000 Nigerian refugees in the Minawao camp. And there are nearly 90,000 IDPs fleeing the atrocities of Boko Haram.
