In the night of September 08, a dozen members of Boko Haram from Nigeria crossed the border, separated by a small stream, to infiltrate Kerawa. The reaction of the Cameroonian army helped to limit the damage to the extent that a single casualty was recorded.

The attackers still managed to take six bicycles and food. In response to this infiltration, the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) operatives in Kerawa conducted mortar fire on positions of Boko Haram in Kerawa-Nigeria.

Until press time, the casualties of these strikes was still not known. The day before, precisely in the night of 08 September 2015, two civilians lost their lives in the villages of Kidji and Talakachi after a new incursion of members of Boko Haram. "They took nearly 200 oxen", noted a disappointed resident.
