Biya names Board Chairman of Obstetrics Gynecology and Pediatric Hospital

Before leaving for Dakar in Senegal for the 15th Summit of la Francophonie, Paul Biya, the leader of the Cameroonian State signed a decree which appoints the first President of the Board of the Obstetrics Gynecology and Pediatric Hospital in Douala.

Kotto Mouyema Honorée Désirée, épouse Epée, the recently appointed carried out most of her career at the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS).

This new decree of the President of the Republic comes almost two months after appointing Professor Mboudou Emille as first Executive Director of this hospital of first category, which is still not yet open to the public while the construction of the buildings is buckled.

"The construction of the hospital is already over. Equipment are installed and staff which most of them are my colleagues have been put in place for several months. But no one has taken tservice because the administration is not yet in place..."said Emille Mboudou

Visiting the site in construction of Gynecology obstetrics and paediatric hospital in Douala in July 2012, André Mama Fouda, the Minister of public health, said that this reference hospital institution which will also serve during the final phase of the AFCON 2019 which Cameroon will host, was supposed to be functional from the month of May, 2013, and for more than a year, we are still waiting.
