The company BOCOM Pétroleum s.a, a Cameroonian company whose main activities are purchasing and distribution of petroleum products and derivatives, offered to reward the women's national team of Cameroon.

After the victorious match against Switzerland on Tuesday, Dieudonné Bogne, founder of Bocom, offered a million francs (about 2,000 Canadian dollars, 1,500 euros) to each of the players, and three million CFA francs or 6000 Canadian dollars to the technical leadership.

According to the Team Press Officer of the Indomitable Lionesses, Leocadia Bongben, the money was handed over to the captain Christine Manie and coach Enow Ngachu with the President of the Standardization Committee, Professor Joseph Owona, and the President of the Female Football Commission, Celine Eko. Present were also the Ambassador of Cameroon in Canada and the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Adoum Garoua.

This is not the first time this company is offering financial support to the Cameroonian players. In October 2014, while the Lionesses were engaged in the final phase of the African Nations Cup in Namibia, Bocom promised and later offered 12 million FCFA to the national team.

At the occasion, an official of the company promised that "Bocom Petroleum S.A will be with the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon throughout the World Cup."
