Armed robber burnt alive

According to sources, Alain Nguedi who burgled a home on Sunday, at Ndogpassi III district was pursued caught and set ablaze in Douala.

Alain Nguedi, 42 years old, married and father of three children had a gang consisting of three thugs. They broke into the home of Delphine Billowa Ndogpassi III district at 2 a.m. Sunday, August 10, 2014, armed with traditional rifles and daggers, they molested children and took the sum of 200,000 F.Cfa, two laptops and two mobile phones.

"I heard footsteps at central door of the lounge, I threw a quick glance at the top of my window and I realized that the was was ajar. They smashed the lock of my room and asked me to give them money and my two phones”. Delphine narrated.

"I kept silence until they went across the fence of the house, then I began shouting ' thief!!! '", she said.

Alain Nguedi, was pursued and caught in possession of a laptop by angry residents armed with machetes. He was lynched before being burned alive by the indigens. "We are assaulted every day. I hope that how we killed thieves will deter others" says an inhabitant of the Ndogpassi district. The other members of the gang however managed to escape.

At the scene his wife lamented saying "Every night, he left me alone at home with the children telling me that he was going to work". "He returned at 6 o'clock", she explained.
