Appointments at the CRTV criticized for "marginalization"

Laakam, the traditional secret society in the Western Region of Cameroon, has criticized the recent appointments at the Office of the Cameroon Radio and Television (Crtv) in a document signed by the intellectuals; Sindjoun Pokam and Jean-Claude Shanda Tonme.

Laakam reported of "ostentatious, shocking, exhausting, humiliating and even coarse marginalization of Bamileke. For the spokespersons of the Organization itself, it is "not a simple trend, but fundamentally vexatious political dune extended to all public media outlets: spoken, written and audio-visual.”

He denounced "myopia administrative and managerial and close to an unacceptable provocation." He proves to be even more amazed that the context requires, he said, cohesion, solidarity, rigour, listening, attention and union.

The signatories of this veritable pamphlet reminded the President of the Board of Directors of the Crtv, Issa Tchiroma, that “the Bamileke contributed more than 1 billion FCFA (West and dismemberments) to the war effort.”

The Shanda Tonme, an internationalist, and philosopher, Sindjoun Pokam, saw last week’s appointments as "a heinous plot against Cameroon and an unspeakable unconsciousness to institutional change, social and economic essential, inescapable and irresistible which makes up history.”

The professors, Tonme and Sindjoun, sought the 'pure and simple' annulment of recent appointments at the Crtv. They accused Issa Tchiroma of 'purely and simply sending away Bamileke of all posts of responsibility, respect, claim, of a logic criminogenic against merit and competence, and on behalf of a version almost genocidal of the famous regional balance.

Laakam promised to bring out the consequences of the last acts of the PCA of Crtv.
