André Sohaing laid to rest

André Sohaing has been laid to rest although there was downpour at his funeral in Douala during the weekend.

The late Mayor of Bayangam, business tycoon and real estate mogul, made his last breathe on July 23 in Bayangam.

From the morgue at the Military Garrison in Bonanjo, his remains was taken to the St. Peter’s Cathedral and Paul Bonadibong for a requiem mass after .

In the presence of family, politicians and business associates, Cardinal Christian Tumi appealed for God's mercy "Lord, hear us when we pray to you for our brother André. Receive him into your home that you have prepared," requested the Cardinal.

Cardinal Tumi also reinstated the importance of safeguarding and praying always for no one knows "neither the day nor the hour." According to one of the officiants, André Sohaing was about celebrating 50 years of marriage and to inaugurate the municipality of Bayangam.

The funeral continued with a vigil at the home of the deceased in Bonapriso. He was buried on August 29, at Bayangam.
