Ambassadors of Senegal and Spain call on PAN

The new Ambassadors of Senegal and Spain in Cameroon paid a brief courtesy call on Cavaye Yeguie Djibril on Wednesday. Their discussion in the office of the president of the National Assembly focused on parliamentary diplomacy.

Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril received the ambassadors of Senegal and the Kingdom of Spain in Cameroon, H.E. Vincent Badji starting with the Ambassador of Senegal.

"We discussed all the possibilities of reinvigorating cooperation between the parliaments of Cameroon and Senegal and make much more dynamic groups of friendship between the parliaments of both countries," said the Senegalese diplomat who also revealed the wish of his host for the president of the National Assembly of Senegal, Moustapha Niasse to visit Cameroon.

As for H.E. Jorge de Orueta Pemartin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Cameroon, he said at the end of the thirty minutes discussion that he came for a courtesy visit "that suddenly turned into a working visit".

The Spanish diplomat said he discussed with his host the security situation in the northern part of Cameroon. The rest of the discussion allowed the Ambassador of Spain to soak up the parliamentary system of Cameroon in the light of the clarifications accorded by the president of the National Assembly.
