Nearly two years after the replacement of Jean Calvin Oyono Aba'a as the head of the Standing Commission of Mediation and Control, Irene Melanie Gwenang just got fired by the Minister of Arts and Culture, the Messenger newspaper reported last week.

According to the decision taken by Minister Ama Tutu Muna, "Mballa Elanga Edmond VII has been brought back to business and now officiates as president," to occupy the interim space by Irene Melanie Gwenang, the report added.

Nkolo Ebene Crépin, Gabriel Essomba, Anatole Hands and Leopold Kwendjeu, according to the newspaper have joined the 'canteen' aside the four DGs of collective management organizations of copyright and related licensed rights. At the post of rapporteur, the reign is considered the 'eyes and ears' of the Minister, Madam Sylvia Nkwenti who is assisted by Ms. Kum Dissake Yvanne-Mara.

The first decision of the Minister of Culture amends and supplements the provisions of establishing the organization and functioning of the standing committee of mediation and control of collective management organizations of copyright and licensed rights. For the novelty of this amendment, the paper lies in the composition of the CPMC.

"Now the Director Generals of collective management organizations of copyright and related licensed rights, holders of an authorization within this technical institution, will instead be four representatives of collective management organizations of copyright and relate licensed rights. Each of the board of directors will be designated to a body."

Paragraph b of the document provided that "the composition of the commission shall be established by decision of the Minister in charge of culture." A provision that indicates the grip of the patron of arts and culture on a budget-structure judged by artists, supported the newspaper.
