'All Citizens' campaign competition launched

20 candidates from 10 regions of Cameroon took part yesterday in the TV game show dubbed 'All citizens' in view of a campaign initiated by the first lady, Chantal Biya towards citizenship education. This was done within the context of the celebration of the 49th edition of the National Youth Day.

The candidates were put in two groups of 10, synonymous for the first and second rounds and responded to questions relating to the history of Cameroon and the institutions that it embodies, the humanitarian work of the first lady, Goodwill Ambassador of Unesco for education and social inclusion, Chantal Biya.

Leading this special show, were Ivo Partem of Crtv and Flora Djingla of channel 2. Facing the jury made up of Yannick Nkengue, Gisèle Mbassi and Patrice Njiki, candidates were first briefed on the principles of the game.

The game was presented to them in the form of cards printed in the national colours: green, red, yellow on which are listed the different issues, eight in total. There were 150 cards in all; 50 of each pack were set in the three colors of the flag.

In the course of the game, a candidate in trouble had the possibility of using a joker which entitles you to five points and in case the answer is correct or false. As another remedy, the applicant can choose the ACE which can win or lose three points.

During the first round of this interactive game, five candidates from the regions of the far North, East, Northwest, Adamawa and North passed their test for the second round.

This initiative of the first lady was strongly appreciated by candidates as it permitted them to learn through play. "I am very pleased to participate because this gives us the opportunity to improve our knowledge and provoked a strong sense of belonging to the same nation," said Marco Lionel Zoulou, a candidate from the South.

As indicated in education, the first lady, Chantal Biya has also thought about entertainment.

The candidates also watched the broadcast of a documentary on the humanitarian actions of the first lady, Chantal Biya. The finals will be held Sunday to settle on the over all winner.
