AfroBasket Women 2015: Cameroon humiliates Uganda

With a 52 point difference, aggression rebound, the fluidity of passing and a collective game, the Lionesses defeated the Ugandan Women’s basketball team.

The Lionesses offered a good show to the public at the multipurpose Palais Polyvalent des Sports de Yaoundé (Paposy) on Saturday, September 26, 2015.

The encounter seemed like a modest training against Uganda who had lost both first meetings, but the Cameroonian had the merit of remaining concentrated.

This victory allowed the girls of Coach Alain Zédon to dominate the whole game from start to end. In the first quarter, they easily pocketed (16-6) including Beatrice Bofia who deployed her 2.02 m to take four rebounds.

Ramses Nlonlack (15 points) still finished top scorer of the match and Astride Gano found three points, Cameroonians have shattered the Ugandan defense (38-14) at the break. This advance will increase after the break until the final score (86-34). Cameroon now has three points in three games played on Sunday.

The classification, Cameroon is now the only team leading in Pool A (6 points). This is the only group team that has not lost a match. Gabon was beaten yesterday by Mali (71-63). These two teams are behind Mozambique with 5 points each.
