Achille Mbembe files complaint against Patrice Nganang

Following a virulent charge orchestrated against him on Facebook and various social networks, the Cameroonian historian Achille Mbembe, who lives in exile in South Africa, filed a complaint of defamation with the New York courts against his compatriot Patrice Nganang.

The latter, who teaches literature at the University in the State, criticized "talk without actiion" against the regime of Paul Biya, but especially the echoes of allegations of sexual harassment against students as Mbembe considers damaging to his honor.
