A double suicide bomb attack at Achigashia has killed three people including two suicide bombers and a civilian who died of injuries sustained, according to corroborating sources and the community.

The double suicide attacks also left 12 injured, one in critical condition.

This is the fourth suicide attack whereby the bombers were quickly spotted and chased by members of the vigilante committee and the security forces; these bombers always end up killing themselves.

On Monday, December 28, two suicide bombers (two girls) were killed in a double suicide bombing that occurred in the small village of Bodo, a town in the district of Makary, Department of Logone-et-Chari region of Far North.

The explosion also left one person with a serious injury.

This occurred Twenty-four hours before the Sunday suicide attack attributed to Boko Haram, causing the death of two people (a suicide bomber and a civilian died of serious injury), at Tolkmari, a town in Mayo-Sava, Far North Cameroon.

Last Friday, at Nguetsewé (Far North), a woman with her newborn baby strapped at her back, triggered her charge. Assessment of the other attack shows that three people including the bomber and her baby died.

Defense and security forces have set up a device that can detect suicide bombers to assist in chasing them away.

In late November, the Cameroonian authorities announced the closure of the main hall of infiltration of terrorist suspects. This does not prevent suicide bombers for the time to come into Cameroonian territory and blow themselves up.
