After president Paul Biya firmly condemned the "cowardly and heinous attacks" committed by followers of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, at Fotokol on July 12, 2015, the international community and politicians also took their turn to denounce these pernicious attacks.
The Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union (AU), Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, in a statement published on the organization’s website on July 14, also condemned this terrorist attack and stated the full solidarity of the AU with the people and the government of Cameroon.
On its website, the Embassy of France in Cameroon also did the same thing. It condemned in the “strongest terms the heinous terrorist attack that struck Fotokol on July 12” and offered its condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed its solidarity with the Cameroonian population threatened by terrorism.
The Cameroonian political class also added their voice in the campaign and stated their disdain against the perpetrators of these barbaric acts.
