AFCON 2017: Cameroon to play without Aurélien Chedjou

The coach of Cameroon, Volker Finke, has selected his team to play against Gambia without Aurélien Chedjou.

While he was earlier selected in the list of players summoned for the match, the Galatasaray defender could not make the trip to Gambia at the end.

Chedjou injured his knee, playing for his club Galatasaray, in the match against Konyaspor on Saturday. He was replaced at half-time in the game and his injury seems to be delicate.

The player reassured his fans via his Twitter account, writing: "Thanks for all the messages; I will come back fast and hard."
