A plane from Lome prohibited to land passengers in Douala

A plane from Lome, Togo, was banned from landing passengers at the Douala International Airport, yesterday, learned koaci.com from media source.

The Asky airliner, from Lome, was to land at the airport in Douala for dropping off passengers but it has not been possible because of the Ebola crisis restrictions recently implemented by the government stating that "all flights from countries affected by the deadly Ebola virus will not be allowed to land on Cameroonian soil till further notice in a bid to check the spread of the disease into the country."

According to our source, thanks to the intervention of the Governor of Douala, only Cameroonians passengers have been allowed to land, but the Governor insisted they should undergo Ebola tests.

The other passengers, have not set foot on Cameroonian soil, "said our source.
