700 new recruits begin presidential guard training

The official re-opening of the commando 2014 of GP contingent took place Monday at Minkama in Obala.

Selected strictly from the ten regions of Cameroon, young people forming part of the commando 2014 of the Presidential Guard (GP) contingent formally entered the Training Centre in Minkama, Obala on Monday.

Their dominant infantry commando training will last five months, according to the battalion commander Yves Christian Mpouamze, Commander of the Training Centre.

He added that these young people will be molded in the transmission of knowledge and equipped with skills on handling weapons and explosives.
