The fourth edition of the Forum on Government Action with French acronym SAGO opened its doors 18th August 2015 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.

Barely a few minutes to the official opening ceremony, organisers, exhibitors and visitors were on standby.

The four-day fair shall be an opportunity for companies to showcase their products and contributions towards Cameroon’s emergence by 2035.

The Project Manager of the Forum, Patrice Assiga indicated that a total of 200 companies are exhibiting their products and know-how during the fair.

The rasion d’etre of the exhibition, he explained, is to bring state-owned corporations closer to the users and let people better apprehend the services offered by the different corporations.

The Public Relations Officer of a South West-based petroleum company, Blasius Ngome is optimistic about the impact of this year’s event on his company’s visibility. Being at its fourth participation at the event, the PRO explained his company targets at least 5000 Cameroonians this year. He hopes to explain to visitors at his stand the priorities of his institution towards Cameroon’s emergence.

Another exhibitor, Ingrid Biwole is of similar opinion as she says she wants Cameroonians to come and see what her company is doing.

Visitors are already flooding the stands, curiously looking at products and interrogating anxious exhibitors.

One of such is Ngono Lilian, a communication student on internship. She explained that this is the first time she is attending the event and hopes to enjoy the ambiance reigning on the grounds and also learn more about other companies. She hopes to use the event as a forum to build her skills in corporate communication.

With the 200 stands already filled and installations almost complete, organisers and exhibitors at the fourth edition of SAGO are ready to set the balling rolling for a grand event following the official inauguration at two p.m this Tuesday 18th August 2015.
