4620 electronic binders distributed to 51 schools to promote distance education

Within the framework of the pilot phase of its project for the improvement of the quality of basic education (PAQEB) in Cameroon, the Government introduced the provision of 51 elementary schools in six regions of the country, 4620 electronic binders, to promote e-education.

November 27, 2014, following a Government seminar devoted to the development of electronic government (e-government) in Cameroon, Cameroonian authorities announced that this experience will be extended to several other primary schools in the country.

As a reminder, in order to develop e-government in the country, the Ministry of posts and telecommunications (Minpostel) launched last October, a call for expressions of interest, for the recruitment of a claimant before the study, with a view to the implementation of "online" service platforms within the framework of the project e-post.

Indeed, explained the Minpostel the e-post project, will be to scan and interconnect all the 234 post offices of the country, set up a datacenter "predisposed to host platforms of e-commerce, e-banking, e-money, e-health, e-education and e-Government. A good operation of this predisposition could allow Cameroon to take a decisive step towards the ongoing inclusive information society'.
