About 3,500 researchers, creators and inventors in Cameroon who met in Yaounde this weekend have appealed to the government "for the improvement of their working conditions."

Meeting under the name Gpp-Cidecam - an NGO founded in 2014 which recently received its authorization to function-, headed by Jules Germain Mvondo, their President, the Cameroonian researchers invited the State to pay more attention to the research, creation and invention sector.

The area of ??research, creation, invention is "still waiting for state intervention to its structure," we learn. An inventor occupies three areas yet is in the informal sector.

However, in the opinion of many experts meeting in the Cameroonian capital, this sector represents a key component of the Cameroonian emerging economy.

Research, indicates Mvondo Jules Germain, "must fully participate in solving unemployment in Cameroon. For many inventors are entrepreneurs. One should go for more," he argues.

"Our grouping aims to address the major challenges arising in the areas of health, environment, and many other promising sectors, which are at the heart of the political and social hierarchy," says the head of private researchers.
