3 suspected Boko Haram members killed in Bargaram

The Cameroonian army repelled an attack from Boko Haram in Bargaram (border town in Nigeria) and killed three suspected members of the sect on Saturday night, according to a security source with the leading detachment in the Far North of the country.

The attackers, whose number has not been communicated, arrived on horses and motorbikes, in Bargaram, a locality in the Borough of Hilé-Halifa, Logone-and-Chari Department, Extreme - North Region of Cameroon, shortly after 2am local (01am GMT).

“The opposed camp suffered huge losses. They took along the bodies of their members and on Sunday morning, 3 bodies that had been abandoned were found," said the military source, contacted by Koaci.

Other military sources indicated that they were informed of the presence of numerous suspected members of Boko Haram, on horses, in the localities of Gogolom and Kangaleri.

The Boko Haram attack was preceded by the double suicide attack which occurred on Sunday morning between 7 am and 8 am in Kolofata. The attack caused a dozen deaths and more than 14 wounded.
