Exams Exams

Applicants of the bilingual section clash on Monday for the oral tests, while those of the regular section start tomorrow with the written tests in the entire national territory.

The D-Day of undergraduate studies diploma (BEPC) has finally arrived and it is time to make final preparations. "Our students are prepared to face the different events. They will be selected from high school Efoulan. We gave them their cards and their school exam receipts. There is only one who lost his card at the sporting events but we will remake another," says Isidore Abbot Ongolo, Rector of the Minor Seminary of St. Therese in Mvolyé.

Here, the minor seminarians are endeavouring to arrange their academic box and calculator without forgetting their pens. "We should not forget anything to avoid panic. I pick my clothes based on examination days. It is time for concentration," said David Harold Beyeck.

Meanwhile, it is not forbidden to revise some mathematical formulas or physics. "It's always important to take a last look at my notes because you can forget due to stress. Otherwise, I am ready to face the trials.” Fortune Edou Owona, another candidate said.

It's the same atmosphere at the Lycée General Leclerc, Jean Tabi college and high school Mballa II in which applicants are expected in the first hour.

According Bisse Bea, Director of Examinations at the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC), the list of candidates throughout the territory displays 225,000 candidates, including 1277 for the bilingual Bepc that starts today.

Tomorrow there are 223,745 candidates who will take over in the ordinary Bepc. In the Central Region, there are 59,033 students who expected. The new formula will allow Bepc bilingual Francophone candidates to write in English. "We want to fully make Cameroonians bilingual. It is about making effective bilingualism in our schools, "said an official at MINESEC.

In the examination centers, everything is ready for the race to that diploma that opens the doors of the second cycle.
