2 die in an attack on gendarmerie post in Zigague

Two deaths have been recorded after armed elements attacked a gendarmerie station in Zigague, Department of Logone-and-Chari, Far North Region, on Wednesday night, according to a military source.

"One of our colleagues was coldly shot during this attack," said the source. The latter added that an attacker was killed by the forces of order during the exchange.

As a reminder, on Monday night, 10 men and 2 women were slaughtered with machetes in Mourdas, Hile Alifa district.

In two attacks on August 23, alleged members of Boko Haram attacked two villages (Manwadji and Ngoumouldi) and kidnapped a dozen people to Nigeria. The upsurge in attacks, by Boko Haram, targeted towards Cameroon has caused more inhabitants to abandon the border villages in Nigeria to more secured areas.
