Zénabou and Mounira left Burkina Faso and entered Cameroon through Nigeria without a guide. "According to their statement, when they arrived in Bertoua on Saturday, July 25, they had to continue their journey on a bus of a travel company,” wrote the Cameroonian newspaper.

The paper added that “it was their attitude at the transport agency that drew attention.”

In Cameroon, the war against Boko Haram was recently shaken by several suicide attacks committed by young girls. The latest case occurred on July 25 and was committed by a 12 year old teenager which resulted in 20 deaths on the spot.

At the moment, there has not been any official reaction from the authorities of Burkina Faso about the arrest of the two young Burkinabe nationals.
