16 dead, 6 injured in suicide attack in Fotokol

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up this Monday morning in Fotokol.

According to eyewitness Madi, a resident of Fotokol, a man wearing a burqa blew himself up behind a public school. Madi was reached by telephone by Cameroonian journalists.

A second suicide bomber blew himself up behind the camp of the special forces, known as BIR, who fight Boko Haram militants together with Chadian forces. According to a BBC report, 2 Chadian soldiers died.

In total 16 deaths and 6 serious injuries were recorded.

The city of Fotokol is located in the department of Logone-Et-Chari; in the Far North region.
