On Wednesday night, October 21, it was bloody at Doulo, a village in the department of Mayo Sava, Far North region.

At least 15 people, all civilians, were killed Wednesday night at Doulo, a village about seven kilometers from Mora, capital of the department of Mayo Sava, Far North region.

According to security sources, suspected members of the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, heavily armed, raided Doulo in the middle of the night. After having surrounded the village, they burned houses, before murdering 15 people.

Shortly afterwards, Cameroonian defense forces intervened when the insurgents had already bolted into their base in Nigeria. By the end of this deadly attack attributed to Boko Haram, the villagers fled to Mora.

The wounded were transported to the main hospitals in Mora and Maroua, which is the capital of the Far North region.

This is the second attack attributed to Boko Haram since Americans troops landed in the north of Cameroon to help put the Islamist sect out of harm's way.

On Saturday, October 17, 2015, an officer of the Cameroonian army, Captain Robert Djinebo, was killed in a clash against the insurgents.
