An attack by Nigerian Islamist group, Boko Haram, in the North of Cameroon has killed 10 people including two Cameroonian soldiers, security sources said.

“Members of Boko Haram raided Blame, a town in the Far North near the border with Nigeria, killing two soldiers of BIR ( Rapid Intervention Battalion) and eight civilians, on Wednesday night,” said a source close to security services. This assessment was confirmed by a BIR officer on condition of anonymity.

During their raid, the Islamists also torched several houses in Blame before retiring to Nigeria, according to the same source.
