The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) is the Ministry charged with the development and growth of agriculture in the country with the exception of the Cocoa-Coffee and Forestry sector. Its primary roles are the formulation of appropriate agricultural policies, planning & co-ordination, monitoring and evaluation within the overall national economic development. Objectives Of MOFA MOFA seeks to achieve the following objectives: Improve agriculture productivity, incomes and employment opportunities; Contribute effectively to balance of payments; Establish effective agriculture industry linkages; and Promote balanced regional development. The Structure Of MOFA In accordance with government policy of decentralization, MOFA's current structure comprises of:- 1.A National Secretariat made up of four line directorates Finance and Administration Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate Human Resource Development and Management Statistics, Research, Information and Public Relations 2.
