The first-ever National Photography Day will take place in Yaounde from November 3 to 72015 under the theme, “Images and Development”.

The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary made the announcement during a press conference in Yaounde this Monday, 26th October 2015.

The organisers, the Cameroon Photography League explain that the day will be an ideal occasion to highlight the role of photography in the advancement of the socio-economic and cultural development of Cameroon.

It will also be an occasion for the men and women in the profession to exchange ideas on the latest developments in the domain.

The event organised at the Yaounde Conference Centre would bring together close to 1,500 photographers nationwide.

Apart from photo exhibitions, professionals in the domain will be given an opportunity to get a state-of-the-art technique in photography through seminars and workshops.
