Jessica Ngoua Nseme has received her citation from the government delegate on Friday.

Jessica Ngoua Nseme received her citation from the government delegate on Friday.

"The city of my heart, the one where I was born and the reason I fought hard to achieve victory on July 11,” she said.

Jessica Ngoua Nseme is now a Citizen of Honour in Douala. The distinction read: ‘Miss Cameroon 2015, previously Miss Littoral, who worked for the protection of the environment.’

She received this citation at a session of the community Council on 24 July 2015. The appraisal of deliberation n ° 7 of the Council, which gives the government delegate the mandate to award this title to Miss Cameroon 2015, was made during the ceremony.

This was used as an opportunity to recollect how Jessica Ngoua Nseme’s environmental project helped create awareness on the harmful effects of water hyacinth to clean up the ecosystem, which was in collaboration with the prerogatives of the Douala Urban Community.

It was also an opportunity for Fritz Ntone Ntone, government delegate at Cud, to repeat the satisfaction of the entire city: “the city of Douala is honored to have awarded its candidate who won the national competition. We are proud of you, congratulations to you and wish you great success.”

Success is what the young 24 year old woman, holder of a Master in event communication and advertising from the University of Douala, intends to achieve. She stated that she wants to be more than "a face that represents the beauty of our country."

As proof, the Miss arrived all dressed in black, in communion with the people of Maroua, capital of the far North which has repeatedly become a target for terrorist attacks for the past two weeks.

Miss Cameroon 2015 again signed the guestbook of the Cud, opened in the 1960s. For the gift registry, she received one from the prefect of Wouri, Naseri Paul Bea.
