Shorts seem to take the upper hand in the dress code of young boys. It is found in the streets, places of celebration such as nightclubs, snack bars, restaurants and even in parties organized by friends.
The pants worn by young men are in two forms. One is crafted based on the "super-percent" cloth that is worn with jackets while the other model, jeans, adapts perfectly to the T-shirts and polo shirts. "I prefer to wear the pants these days because it is fashionable and can be worn with a shirt or jacket like some artists do," says one of the followers of fashion.
Whatever the season, whether it is hot or cold, they find no problem wearing this outfit. The adoption of this garment by young boys can only delight shopkeepers and tailors who make money. Especially in this holiday period where demand is very high compared to the period of classes. "I'm doing good business, a day I can sell at least five pants," says Martial a seller of clothing at Mokolo market.
Similarly, the popularity and accessibility of the garment is due to its affordable prices which range between FCFA 10 000 and FCFA 13 000 according to outlets. Fashion varies from day to day. These pants eventually replace the pants in menswear rays. "Young people will show us everything in terms of fashion," an elderly man said in an ironic way.
