Specialized pavilions created for SIMAC 2015

The second preparatory meeting for the Steering Committee of the international fair for agricultural machinery in Cameroon (SIMAC) took place Monday at the Chamber of agriculture in Yaoundé.

As a prelude to this great event which will take place from 15 to 20 December, it was question for members of the Committee to proceed with the installation of the members of the sub-commissions and specialty pavilions.

To allow a better organization of the event, five specialized pavilions were set up. It is the flag of international cooperation and administration, with main purpose to present the results and actionable outcomes by Cameroon, through presentations on some emerging countries.

Mechanization, irrigation and innovation Pavilion will present the offer available in cultural and physical methods. Agriculture trades Pavilion will introduce to the public trades of agriculture as well as its opportunities.

Agri-food and the local flavors Pavilion will present processes in the agro-industry. Finally, the Pavilion of the Bank projects and the financing of the rural world will highlight, projects and programs departments linked to the rural world.

The meeting also allowed validation of the plan of action and the budget after the work of the Sub-Commission in workshops as well as the program of conferences, the allocation and distribution of stands.

According to the General co-ordinator, Elissar Mbang Ekoutou, SIMAC 2015, which is placed under the high patronage of the president of the Repblic and aims to promote, achieve in acts, second generation farming which increased the areas cultivated by the practice of modern methods to ensure food self-sufficiency, to supply agro-industries and improve the trade balance by export.

As general objective, the SIMAC aims inter alia at the creation of a friendly space for meetings and exchanges between professionals in the rural sector, manufacturers of agricultural machinery, agri-food stakeholders and the general public. They offer operators a wide variety of farm machinery adapted to the sectors and the size of agricultural holdings.
