The resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Cameroon, Boriana Yontcheva, has ended her mission in the country.
She was in a meeting with the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Emmanuel Djoumessi Nganou, to assess all outstanding infrastructure projects in the country financed by the IMF, yesterday.
Before meeting with the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Yontcheva had earlier had some discussions with a number of government officials.
At 45, this economist trained in France (Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lyon and Aix-Marseille University) and Great Britain (Manchester Business School) and leaves Cameroon after two years, eight months service in the country.
She was a member of the Directorate General Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium and former consultant of the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) in Niamey, Niger before joining the IMF in 2001.
This was Boriana Yontcheva’s first job as a representative in a foreign country.
