ENEO adopts code of ethics

Energy of Cameroon (ENEO), national electricity company has adopted a code of ethics and business conduct to base their operations on values of integrity and honesty.

In a statement on Tuesday, the company said the initiative fits into the general framework for the improvement of governance within the company with the backing of the national anti-corruption Commission (CONAC), local representation of Transparency International (TI) as well as of the Business coalition against corruption (BCAC) at the Ministry of water and energy.

"The Code of ethics themed 'Act in the interest of our customers and that of ENEO' is the foundation of a phase where we have moved to a service model backed by ethics and values assigned a few months ago", said the Director-general of ENEO, Joël Nana Kontchou.

The adoption of this code of Ethics operates in a rapidly evolving context as "we are working hard to modernize our society", he said.

"One of the challenges of the company is succeeding without delay to meet our expectations and without clear rules of conduct towards our partners and service providers, we can't meet our expectations," said the Director-general.
