Camagro: Digital portal to compare agro prices in the market

The Cameroonian Ministry of Commerce and the incumbent telecoms, Camtel, signed a partnership agreement to contribute to the animation of the agropastoral portal of Cameroon (Camagro), launched some months ago by Camtel.

Thanks to Camagro, consumers and merchants will be able to compare prices of food products on the market, in order to make a better decision for sale or purchase, officials revealed.

All these prices will be made available to the Camtel team to animate the platform by the services of the Ministry of Commerce. This Department has a periodically updated database through surveys regularly conducted by its competent services throughout the country.

To those responsible for Camtel, in areas with no internet connection for accessing the platform, a device for sending Sms will permit them to receive information on prices and products available in the various markets of Cameroon.
