Algerian Economy Day to take place in 2016 in Douala

Algeria wants to revitalize its economic cooperation with Cameroon through the ‘Algerian Economy Day’ event between March and April 2016 in Douala.

This was revealed during a meeting with the Governor of the region of the Littoral and Merzak Bedjaoui, the Ambassador of Algeria in Cameroon on July 10, 2015.

According to the Algerian diplomat, Cameroon has much to gain from the Algerian expertise in the water, energy, transport, social housing, supply of butane gas to the country and public works sectors; which are areas Algerian traders intend to make proposals to their counterparts and the Cameroonian authorities.

The Algerian Economic Day in Douala would coincide with the opening of Air Algeria, air transport lines linking Algiers to Douala and Yaoundé; the two main Cameroonian cities.
