AFD disburses 29.5 billion CFA francs for the 2nd bridge over the Wouri

The Minister of the economy, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, is expected to soon sign with the French Development Agency (AFD), an a credit agreement for a total of 29.5 billion francs Cfa, revealed a presidential decree signed June 4, 2015, which empowers the Minister, Nganou Djoumessi to contract this credit on behalf of the Cameroonian State.

According to the Decree of authorisation signed by the head of State, Paul Biya, these AFD funds will go towards the financing of the "additional accommodation" under the project of construction of the second bridge over the Wouri, in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon.

Infrastructure financed by AFD on the 2nd bridge over the Wouri is an investment of 110 billion Cfa francs in total. The work will be delivered in September 2016, according to the timetable of work entrusted to Sogea-Satom.
