7th edition of Africa Forum comes off in September

More than 500 decision makers from diverse backgrounds including business, politics and international institutions are expected at the 7th edition of the Africa Forum will be held in Montreal, Canada under the theme: "2025 Investments and opportunities”.

Investors and African businessmen are expected at the forum from September 16 to 18, as announced at a press conference in Yaounde organized by the Canadian High Commission in the presence of the High Commissioner, René Cremonese.

According to Amina Gerba, founding president of the African Development Group, the three-day meeting aims inter alia to promote private investment in Africa. A continent, she said, where several countries have growth rates that are around 10%.

Senegal was chosen as the featured country for this 7th edition. At this event, decision makers in West Africa may present opportunities for investment and business in their country.

The platform for exchanges between African and Canadian traders will also be an opportunity to unveil speakers. Topics like the Emerging Africa, the development of regional infrastructure, trade finance in Africa, the opportunities available to companies in the mining and energy sectors and the project financing will be discussed during this event.

Beatrice Arbock Bédianga of Africa Expansion said, first of all, the 2015 edition of the Africa Forum will focus on delivering results for the countries and companies that will participate. "The organizing committee intends to give more space to the "B2B component meetings" in order to increase efficiency," she concluded.

The 2015 Africa Forum is organized by Expansion magazine Africa, the African Development Bank (ADB) and Export Québec in collaboration with Afreximbank, the African Business Round Table and the Canadian Council on Africa.
