16 promising investment sectors in Cameroon presented

Domestic and foreign investors are now aware of the potentially profitable sectors to focus on in Cameroon.

The ninth edition of the 'The Cameroon economic strengths' publication which was just released, talked about the general profile of Cameroon, the institutional landscape, international relations, natural resources and infrastructure, the major sectors of the economy, investment policy and practical guidance as in the country.

The government daily, Cameroon Tribune, published the information in its August 11, 2015 edition. The chapter on ‘Invest in Cameroon’, is one that definitely held the attention of investors. The chapter carried information on investments with all general and specific incentives offered.

A list of 16 sectors conducive for investment was published; raw materials processing, logging, industrial and artisanal fishing, manufacturing of the materials necessary for buildings and public works, agriculture and agro-industrial production, among others.

According to Cameroon Tribune, president Paul Biya, in a foreword signed by him, clearly defined the ambition of this new issue: "this ninth edition of the economic strengths of Cameroon,focused on the year 2015, has the ambition to reflect the will of the government to continue to conduct a vigorous growth policy to keep our country on the path of growth.

'The Cameroon economic strengths' is an annual publication presenting the available potential in the country, its political, economic and social environment, its prospects for development and existing investment opportunities. This official book, with a foreword from the President of the Republic, brings together texts and analyses of the most striking personalities of Cameroon.
