FIFA has stated in a letter sent to Joseph Owona it will proceed in suspending Cameroon at the next interruption of the electoral process of FECAFOOT, according to sources from FECAFOOT.

"FIFA said it no longer gets information from the Cameroonian delegation about the FECAFOOT elections. This is the last time. If there is no election, we will be suspended. This is the time for the Cameroonian government to put an end to the delay otherwise it will end badly," said a member of the Standards Committee.

Caution

FIFA has indeed set the new timetable for standardization activities. Thus, a new General Assembly is scheduled for August 5 in order to adopt the terms of the Federation. The elections are expected to start on August 28 in departmental leagues and to be completed by September 28 at the federal level.

However, FIFA warns against the Cameroonian government interference in the process and urges the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the National Olympic Committee to respect the terms of FECAFOOT.
