Cameroon is in mourning. The green-red-yellow nation mourns with Maroua which suffered a double attack on Wednesday, officially recording 13 dead and 32 wounded.

These terrorist attacks attributed to the fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram, have caused a wave of reactions among both political and sports icons. International Cameroonian players have, in unison with the authorities, seriously condemned these despicable acts through messages of support and encouragement to victims.

Samuel Eto'o Fils denounced the killings and called for mobilization and national unity. The Antalyaspor player, via his Facebook account, sent his "sincere condolences to the bereaved families. I share in your pains. Terrorism will not triumph!!!”

Joël Epalle, in a similar message via his Facebook page, sent his condolence to the people of the Far North region. The former Indomitable Lion posted a black-clad photo barred by a message, "I am MAROUA”, in memory of the victims. "RIP, immense thoughts to all bereaved families, stop killing, we want PEACE please", Aurélien Chedjou wrote on his twitter account.

Ambroise Oyongo also used the same medium to condemn the attacks: “Please we need peace, not war in our Cameroon !!!! Stop Boko Haram.”

The Indomitable Lionesses also did not remain indifferent. Raisa Feudjio like the others chose social networks to express her "heartfelt sympathy to the families. MAROUA is part of me," she said.

Yvonne Leuko also wrote on her Facebook account: "My thoughts are with the families affected by this despicable act".
