Catholic Relief Services a Development Organization is seeking qualified, experienced, and highly motivated Finance Assistants who will
efficiently provide comprehensive information, clerical, and accounting services to assist the Finance Department in executing processes and delivering service needs that support high-quality programs serving the poor and vulnerable. As part of an experienced finance team, you will deliver quality support in your role, applying clearly defined accounting and financial reporting processes, procedures, and service standards.

You will contribute to the proper stewardship of resources to help ensure operational effectiveness in support of high-quality programming.

The positions are based in YAOUNDE/Cameroon

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete standard financial documents (vouchers, wire transfer requests, checks, etc.) following a sample template with prescribed guidelines and circulate as needed.

• Provide administrative and clerical support to all financial transactions processing. Prepare, photocopy, and scan all related documentation for CP. File all accounting and financial reporting documentation as instructed.

• Compile supporting documentation as per file number (liquidation/receipt package) to support processing of financial transactions. Communicate with CP staff, subrecipients, partners, suppliers to follow up on required documents.

• Perform data entry for financial transactions recording, following validation by the next-level Finance staff. Fulfill the Accountant persona requirements in Insight activities (i.e. cash management, etc.)

• Follow up on petty cash count, replenishment and unannounced cash count to the main office and sub-offices.

• Ensure that the archives are kept in conditions facilitating research and support others to find the supporting documents if necessary.

• Review, under the direction of the Finance Officer and team, financial reports (advances and liquidations) from partners.

• Assist the Finance Officer and Grants and Compliance team with capacity building of partners, including informal and formal training, one-
on-one guidance on best practices, and review of partner policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Diploma required. Professional diploma/Certificate or courses in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
Administration a plus.

• Minimum of two years’ work experience in a similar role with some familiarity of standard accounting practices. Experience with an
international organization a plus

Required Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 15%.
